Location to Inspiration
Finding the beauty in people and places is one of the things we absolutely love about our work. Here’s a little peak behind the scenes in showing some locations and the photos I created at those locations.
I took the above photo at night. I placed the couple in the gate of the fence and with a flash behind them lit up the falling snow.
Between the church and venue I had the limo pull over to take advantage of this industrial location. I placed the guys up on the wall and shot with the sun behind them for this dramatic shot.
I took the above photo with a 16mm lens on a full frame camera. I quickly moved pallets out of the way and took this shot while the grooms men stood behind their hotel waiting for their limo.
I took the above photo by standing on the deck and having the groomsmen throw the groom towards me from the lawn below.
I took the above photo with off camera lighting. The day was overcast and the light was flat. By adding in my own off camera lighting I was able to high-lite the Bride and Groom and creating a beautiful portrait of the bridal party.

Taking beautiful portraits in hotel rooms, living rooms or any room for that mater can be challenging to say the least. I took the two portraits in the hotel room above. I did have to move a bit of furniture but sometimes that's part of the magic :-)
I took the above photo by shooting light through this delicate fabric. By using a light and the fabric to create the shadows on the wall we put together this creative pre-wedding shot for Jacqui before she stepped out to go to her ceremony.
I took the above photo using the natural lighting coming in from the sides of the overpass. I love the difference in color temperature from the yellow artificial light on the far wall in the background to the natural light on this beautiful bride.
