Hey there! I am so glad that you are here! My name is Alex. I have been working as a professional wedding photographer in Connecticut and New England for over a decade. I’m grateful to be able to say that even after all these years, I love what I do. Just ask my wife who still listens to me enthuse about new camera gear or the latest photography trends whenever we get caught up talking. I love photography but I also love the people that I get to work with. It is truly an honor to capture couples and their loved ones on one of the most important days in their life.
My Start in Weddings
I can remember the buzz that I felt the first time that my Dad let me use his camera on a family vacation when I was a kid. Since then, I never put the camera down. Now, my camera feels like home.
After high school I went on to study photography professionally. Because of that, I have strong technical background to match my creativity and passion.
I didn’t think that I would enjoy wedding photography, but I felt differently as soon as I shot my first wedding. I love the fast paced excitement of a wedding day and I take pride being the calming presence in a high emotion and sometimes stressful situation.
My Approach
My approach to photographing weddings is to artfully tell the story of your day. I will capture candid and “in between” moments all throughout the day as well as creating beautifully composed portraits. I love working with natural light when it is good, but I also have the ability to create beautiful light when it is not. You can also expect me to add in some creative shots with a cinematic feel. Regardless of the moment, I want your photos to undeniably capture the way that your day feels.
At Home
When I’m not working, I’m most likely spending time with my family. My wife, Olivia, and I love to travel, take photos together, and try new cuisines which we later attempt to recreate in our own kitchen. We have two amazing little ones who give our lives a deeper meaning and inspire us to take way too many photos of them.
