This photo was taken on the beach at the Water’s Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook CT. I positioned the bride facing a breeze coming off the water and had her fan the vale out behind her letting the wind lift it into the air for this beautiful photograph. The second image is me taking the first photograph.

Positioning the Bride and Groom where I wanted them and taking the photograph was only half the work on this image. I had to do a good amount of Photoshopping on the left side to build out the black wall. It was time consuming and a challenge to make the part of the wall I created look natural. The reception for this wedding was at the Officers Club in Newport RI.

I had this spot and the idea for this photograph picked out a week before the wedding. This is one of the reasons I feel so strongly about putting significant preparation and planning into every wedding. With out spending many hours looking for locations for this couple I never would have taken this photograph. Once the bridal party got out of the limo I was able to work very quickly because I new exactly what photographs I wanted to take and where. This was important as they did not have much time between their ceremony in New Haven and there reception at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville CT.

This photograph was true inspiration. I used a decorative metal flower I found in the room to shoot a flash through and create the flower shadow on the wall. I Simultaneously light up this beautiful brides face bringing her out of the shadows with my video light. The bride is sitting on the bench to the left.

This photo was taken on the rocks in front of Castle Hill Inn in Newport RI. I circled the area in red in the following photo where this photograph was taken. After placing my beautiful bride and groom at the far end of the puddle I laid down on this side of it and positioned my camera so it was almost touching the top of the water.

The second photo shows how I created the first one. The reception for this wedding was at the Westmount Country Club in Paterson NJ. To create the above photograph I positioned Maria behind the front door to the left. At the same time I had my second photographer from the right shoot a flash through the glass in the door. This created the beautiful light pattern over her and on the wall.

The following picture shows me taking this photo and the way I positioned my light to light up the wall behind my subjects. Controlling the sun light with the exposer of my camera and the power of my light facing the wall behind them I was able to achieve this photo out of the camera with very little editing. Yours truly on the left, as you can see this photograph was taken in the middle of the day

In this photograph I moved the couch off the wall into the center of the room and took the shot from the balcony. The reception for this wedding was at the Society Room in Hartford CT and the wedding ceremony was in the English Garden at Wickham Park.

This photo was taken at a wedding at the Great River Golf Club in Milford CT. I set up the lights ahead of time so when I brought the bride and groom out I was prepared and was able to work quickly.

These two photos were taken on short beach in Stratford CT in the middle of the day. I used some very powerful lighting to overpower the light from the sun. This allowed me to under expose the day light and light the people up with my lights. As you can see in the second photograph the first one was taken in the middle of the day, this is how the scene looked to the naked eye before I introduced lighting.

This photograph was taken during a reception at the Great River Golf Club in Milford CT. I was using a light about 12 feet off the floor as accent light for photographs on the dance floor and noticed how it was creating the arch shadow on the wall in the bar. This was the moment of my inspiration.

These two wedding photographs were taken behind the Residence Inn in Hartford CT. The second photo shows the location. I moved a few pallets and had the guys stand in front of the vented wall on the right.

A beautiful portrait of a beautiful bride. The second photo shows where the first photograph was taken. The reception for this wedding was at the Waterview in Monroe CT. I took the lamp shade off the lamp to the left, turned the lamp on so it lit up the red wall, moved aside a few pieces of furniture and placed our beautiful bride in front of the light for this very clean and beautiful portrait.

When I met with Cassandra and Eric they showed me the below photo from Thomas Barbey and asked if I could do a photo like that for them on their wedding day at St Clements Castle with the two of them flying over the castle. I said I thought I could figure it out and they booked. Unfortunately there was not enough time on there wedding day to take the photograph. When they got back from their honeymoon I asked if they would still like to do the shot. They still loved the idea and were excited to still have the opportunity. We had a lot of fun at St Clements creating the photograph.
